York Fitness was founded way back in 1932 in Pennsylvania by Bob Hoffman. The company was primarily into sales in the US market alone. The early 1950s saw emergence of another company in Canada that was also into manufacturing fitness equipment and its related accessories. Over a period of time the businesses of both these nascent companies grew and a need was felt amongst them to come together as a single entity. To this day, the company is well known in fitness circles as York. The products that were initially sold only in the USA and Canada are now being sold in more than 50 countries worldwide. The company is well known for its products in Home Gyms and Cross Trainers segments.
York Home Gyms are available in 3 different models. They are Smith Machine and Bench, Endurance, and G8 Pro Home. Smith Machine and Bench come with a lot of flexibility. Its bench can be made flat, incline or decline depending upon the users need. The maximum user weight it can support is 100kg. Most of these machines come with a Preacher Pad. Endurance Home Gyms are provided with Preacher Pads of extra large size. The Vinyl Weight Stack provided in these machines weigh a massive 68kg. They are also provided with Weight Shrouds of full length and Release Pull Pins for making finer adjustments. The Home Gym also incorporates Lat Bar Holder and Seated Leg Developer as a part of its exhaustive features. G8 Pro’s Weight Stack is made of Cast Iron and it weighs a staggering 91kg. They are provided with Upholstery that are extra padded and Weight Shrouds that are of Full Length type.
Each of the York Home Gyms available in the market comes with a warranty period of 3 months on Upholstery, 1 year on Pulleys and Cables, and 1 year for Light Commercial Applications. Like Treadmills, York Cross Trainers too are available in different models. Few popular ones include X201, X202, Diamond X301, and Diamond X302. Diamond X302 Cross Trainer is provided with a LED Display, Adjustable handlebars and stride pattern. The machine is incorporated with 22 Workout programs, Wireless receivers, and Hand pulse sensors.
